The PTO exists to advance Catholic education and all the students of Annunciation School, to enhance the educational partnership of parents and teachers, to support curricular and co-curricular programs by providing resources and to provide parent education. All school parents are members, annually electing representatives to a leadership role, the PTO Board.
A subgroup of the PTO, the Hot Lunch Committee schedules, organizes and runs a Hot Lunch program that provides lunches for students from local vendors. Parent volunteers fill all the positions required for the management of this program.
Parents maintain Science and Art Docent programs to support student education in those fields. Chairpersons schedule class lessons and labs with teachers to provide hands-on curriculum coordinated activities that are then staffed by parent volunteers.
There are three parent-led major fundraisers each year that are intended to help offset increases in operating expenses and keep tuition as low as possible. Parent involvement in these events is mandatory. More information can be found under the Family Commitment tab.
